Joe Young
Mr. Young started this Practice in 2007, and he has overseen it's growth to seven attorneys including a Managing Partner that joined forces with Young in 2010 and the Firm now goes by the name of Young Miller LLP. Mr. Young is both a successful entrepreneur and legal professional, whose diverse experience, confidence, and knowledge allows him to provide a unique perspective to all of Young Miller clients.

Prior to founding Young Miller LLP, Mr. Young had a background in both criminal and employment law. He previously worked for the San Diego Public Defender’s office, where he handled over 100 cases. He has also worked for the Virginia Attorney General’s office responding to Criminal Appeals and writing Prosecution briefs, and was an extern for the Virginia Public Defender’s office, during which time he conducted three criminal trials. In addition, Mr. Young was a Summer Associate at Sessions & Kimball, a plaintiff’s employment law firm, and a Research Assistant for Professor Marcia Wilbur.

He attended Western State University School of Law, where he was number 1 in his class, and later transferred to the University of Richmond, School of Law, where he graduated cum laude. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Young was a successful entrepreneur. While still in high school, he ran a business that grossed over 1.8 million and was awarded the “Student Entrepreneur of the Year” award for the Los Angeles County area. He then went to the University of California, Los Angeles, and ran a telecommunications business that grossed over 2 million.

Mr. Young is a native Californian, and grew up in San Marino with honest and hardworking parents. He is now happily married, and the beaming father of one daughter and thankful stepfather to four children. He is also a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
