Jillian-Leigh Balancio
Ms. Balancio is a part of the civil litigation team at Joe Young Law, where she focuses her practice on family law, employment law, and real estate matters.
Prior to joining Joe Young Law, Ms. Balancio was an extern for a boutique Family Law firm, where she assisted clients in matters ranging from child custody and divorce. In addition, she worked as a legal assistant at Child Support Liberation, assisting clients with child custody issues and child support modifications.
Ms. Balancio received her J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan, where she served as an Associate Editor on the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review. During her tenure on the Law Review, she received the prestigious John D. Voelker Award, which awarded those Associate Editors who have greatly contributed to the publication. Ms. Balancio also participated in the Sixty Plus Elder Law Clinic that provided free estate planning to local senior citizens.
Ms. Balancio graduated cum laude from the University of California, Riverside, with a B.A. in Political Science/Law and Society. While in college, Ms. Balancio was selected to participate in an internship at the Office of the Attorney General’s Office in Washington, DC. In her spare time, Ms. Balancio volunteers at her church, and enjoys singing, eating, and shopping.
